Every Stylist must understand the fundamentals of hairdressing. But, at Studio 28, we go way beyond that. Our Stylists learn all the latest trends and techniques. In order to keep clients satisfied and continue to grow professionally, you must keep up with what's going on in the industry.

What Your Stylist Needs To Know:

• How much time are you willing to spend on your hair?

• What length are you comfortable with?

• Are you open to changes and/or suggestions? And if you are ready for a change, bring a picture to show your Stylist. Pictures are a great way to communicate the look you want.

Questions:

• I need a new look, what can I do?
  A great way to 'try' on a style is to simply have your hair styled differently. Try adding height or wearing it sleeker to find out how a different style feels.

• I don't have any volume to my hair, what can I do?
  There are many products designed to add fullness and body, using them properly is critical-some products don't work without heat. Also, consider using a round brush or drying your hair upside down for lift.

• I'm beginning to see a few gray hairs. How can I hide them?
  Temporary and semi-permanent colors are designed to blend gray hairs without creating a major change to your natural hair color. Because they simply wash out of your hair after several shampoos, you are not committed to repeating the service if you decide not to. You might also consider having subtle highlights done - to blend the gray with lighter streaks of color.

• How often should I have my hair trimmed?
  We recommend you see your Stylist approximately every 4-6 weeks. Men may come in more often for a little 'clean up' around the neck and side-burns.

• How often should I get a perm or relaxer?
  Permanent waves can be done every 3 months; your Stylist will observe the condition of the hair to be sure this will not create damage to previously permed ends. Relaxer services can be given every 6 weeks because the technique is only applied to new growth.

• How can I grow my hair longer?
  In order to grow your hair longer, make sure you have it trimmed regularly and be sure to use a gentle shampoo along with conditioning treatments. Conditioning treatments will repair the damage done by heat and harsh chemicals, preventing split ends and breakage.

Most salons approach this issue with a high pH, deep cleansing clarifier which can dry the hair. We use a fragrance-free, all natural, nutrient based treatment that can remove this buildup and replenish the moisture in the hair shaft without damaging the hair.

This is an excellent prep for chemical services such as perms & color. If medications are used this procedure is also highly recommended.

Crystal Gel Treatment

This treatment is for everyone. It removes mineral discoloration. In a 2 hour treatment the deposits of iron, calcium, copper, chlorine & rust are 'chelated' off the hair shaft. Your hair is returned to a more natural color, is softer, less tangled & shinier. Everyone uses water from the earth. Different areas contain different levels of concentration of minerals that attach to the hair. If your hair is permed or colored, you will know what this means, especially the blondes.

• Scalp Treatment - moisturizes and soothes a dry, irritated scalp and increases stimulation through a complete scalp and neck massage. Excellent for thinning hair.

• Deep Conditioning - Strengthen, moisturize and repair hair that is dry, damaged or lifeless. Heat is applied to increase penetration resulting in increased shine, volume and manageability.

Italian Foiling is less stressful on the hair shaft as it is done on wet and conditioned hair. We use slicing and weaving techniques to impart hi-lites and/or lo-lites. A beautiful way to brighten your hairstyles.
